Lifestyle and wellbeing, not a medical service
AlmarFit is a lifestyle and wellbeing service: an app where you note your meals, weight and habits and follow your progress, together with guidance on eating and movement. The plans, recipes, calculations and messages are suggestions and general information, for educational purposes. What you eat and what you change is your decision; nothing in the app is an obligation or a prescription.
The guidance is given by Maria Nistor, certified nutritionist and fitness instructor. Maria is not a doctor and not a licensed dietitian, and AlmarFit is not a medical practice.
AlmarFit is not a medical service. We do not diagnose, treat, prevent or cure diseases, we do not interpret lab tests and we do not recommend or change medication or treatments. The plans are not diets for medical conditions.
Educational information, not medical advice
The content on almarfit.com, in the AlmarFit app, in plans, recipes, messages and in the AlmarFit group is educational and lifestyle guidance. It is not a medical consultation, diagnosis or treatment and does not replace the advice of a doctor, a dietitian or another specialist.
The responsibility is yours
You use the website, the app and the plans at your own risk. The plans, recipes and advice are suggestions: you decide whether, to what extent and how you follow them, and you take responsibility for your decisions and their consequences. When you create your account and at each payment you declare that your health allows you to change your diet and exercise, that you asked a doctor for advice if you are in one of the situations below, and that the data you give us (including allergies, intolerances, medical conditions, medication, pregnancy or breastfeeding) is accurate and complete.
A plan made from wrong, incomplete or outdated data cannot be held against us. The free 3-day plan and the Light Plan are general plans, not personalised: they do not take your health situation into account, so you check before every meal that they suit you. The full rules on liability are in the Terms and conditions, sections 7 and 11.
When to see a doctor first
Ask your doctor before changing your diet or starting an exercise programme if you:
- are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- have a medical condition (for example diabetes, heart, thyroid, kidney or digestive conditions);
- take medication or supplements;
- have had an eating disorder;
- are under 18.
If you notice unusual symptoms (dizziness, pain, strong fatigue), stop and see a doctor. In an emergency, call 112 or your local emergency number.
Calculations are estimates
The reference weight range, basal metabolic rate (BMR, calculated with the Mifflin-St Jeor formula), estimated daily need and the nutritional values of foods and recipes are approximations. They depend on the data entered and the sources used and do not take all your particularities into account. During pregnancy and breastfeeding they are only indicative.
Results vary
We do not guarantee any result, on any plan – free, Light, Elite or Maintenance: not a certain weight loss, not a pace, not a duration. Results depend on each person: health, metabolism, how consistently you follow the plan and many other factors. Client stories and reviews are personal experiences and do not guarantee the same results.
Artificial intelligence
Some features in the app use artificial intelligence (for example “Scan your meal”, “Say what you ate”, label reading and the recipe ideas in the Fridge). What these features recognise or suggest may be wrong, so check the foods, weights and ingredients before you save them or cook.
Recipes and foods
Check the ingredients of every recipe against your allergies and intolerances. Nutritional values are indicative and may vary with the ingredients and amounts used.
Exercise
You exercise at your own risk, adapted to your level. Warm up, respect your limits and stop if you feel pain.
